Professional Learning in Arts Assessment Literacy

High-quality assessments are an integral part of measuring student growth and informing classroom instruction. Arts educators are often left on their own to develop assessments and identify student growth measures, often without adequate assessment literacy. In this NEW! professional learning opportunity, teachers in all arts disciplines will develop skills in developing assessments. Sessions will focus on foundations of assessment literacy, quality assessment design and an understanding of why these are important to instruction and student learning.   Learn more.

Arts Assessment Workshops: Jan & June 2017

This year the Ohio Alliance for Arts Education will host a series of regional workshops to help local educators develop arts assessments. These workshops will be based on the work done by the Ohio Arts Assessment Collaborative (OAAC). Workshops will be held in Kettering (Jan. 21), Athens (Jan. 28), Wooster and Columbus (both on Jun. 3). Visit our Events tab to see all of our upcoming events.

(Interested in the workshop, but can't make it to these dates or locations? Schedule a workshop for your district with an OAAC PD provider.)
