combines his love of reading with his love of history and the arts to create fun- filled programs that encourage students to read more about the lives of the men and women who shaped this country's history.
African American, Native American and European men and women are featured in his performances about early Ohio history. Bob has performed for over a quarter of a million students in schools across the Midwest. In his playwriting residencies, Bob has helped students research, write and perform over 30 original plays about Ohio history.
Each of his programs is carefully researched for historic accuracy and conforms to current core content goals and standards. Each program uses interactive songs, theatre games, and story telling - directly involving each student and exciting their imaginations. Follow up activities include reading, journaling, writing and historic research projects. Students will learn because they are having so much fun!
Bob Ford's Folklore & Fun is a welcome solution to any schools programming needs!
